to put on a strong display of bowling, fielding and batting to win by 132 to

IMPRESSIVE ATHLETES AT FRANKLIN CHAMPS
Last week, Franklin's finest primary school athletes competed to see who
would be the 2011 champions.
After qualifying with excellent results at the Group Day athletics event, a
strong squad of top Hill athletes represented the Central Group at the Franklin
Championships at Pukekohe Stadium. Manager, Mrs Shaw was impressed with both
the team's positive attitudes and excellent individual performances through
heats and finals.

LETTING YOU KNOW CLASSES FOR 2012
Tomorrow, on Thursday, children will visit their 2012 classes and meet their
teachers for next year. Teachers will greet their new students and give them
a welcome card to bring home to parents. This card will include details of the
room number and the teacher's name.
We're sure children will enjoy meeting their 2012 teacher and this will mean that when students start school next year on Thursday 2 February, they will be able to relax and go straight to their new class.
Student lists for 2012 will also be placed on the school staffroom windows
by Monday, 30 January.
REPORTS COMING HOME THIS FRIDAY
This Friday, children will bring home their end of year reports for families
in a sealed envelope. We hope parents will appreciate the progress and achievement
of children across the curriculum, the excellent attitudes and virtues which
make us so proud of Hill students ... and all the skills and commitment of teaching
and support staff which with your support, contribute to individual student
success and personal growth.
YEAR 6 FAMILIES SCHOOL UNIFORM DONATIONS
Each year, many of our Year 6 students who are leaving Hill, donate uniform
clothing back to the school.
If you are happy for your child to donate some uniform clothing, they can bring this to school next week on Tuesday, and wear "mufti" non uniform clothing on their last day.
